SV	Doch er was een sterke toren in het midden der stad; zo vloden daarheen al de mannen en de vrouwen, en alle burgers van de stad, en sloten voor zich toe; en zij klommen op het dak des torens.
WLC	וּמִגְדַּל־עֹז֮ הָיָ֣ה בְתֹוךְ־הָעִיר֒ וַיָּנֻ֨סוּ שָׁ֜מָּה כָּל־הָאֲנָשִׁ֣ים וְהַנָּשִׁ֗ים וְכֹל֙ בַּעֲלֵ֣י הָעִ֔יר וַֽיִּסְגְּר֖וּ בַּעֲדָ֑ם וַֽיַּעֲל֖וּ עַל־גַּ֥ג הַמִּגְדָּֽל׃
Trans.	ûmiḡədal-‘ōz hāyâ ḇəṯwōḵə-hā‘îr wayyānusû šāmmâ kāl-hā’ănāšîm wəhannāšîm wəḵōl b^a‘ălê hā‘îr wayyisəgərû b^a‘ăḏām wayy^a‘ălû ‘al-gaḡ hammiḡədāl:

AC	נא ומגדל עז היה בתוך העיר וינסו שמה כל האנשים והנשים וכל בעלי העיר ויסגרו בעדם ויעלו על גג המגדל
ASV	But there was a strong tower within the city, and thither fled all the men and women, and all they of the city, and shut themselves in, and gat them up to the roof of the tower.

LSG	Il y avait au milieu de la ville une forte tour, où se réfugièrent tous les habitants de la ville, hommes et femmes; ils fermèrent sur eux, et montèrent sur le toit de la tour.
Sch	Aber mitten in der Stadt war ein starker Turm; auf denselben flohen alle Männer und Weiber und alle Bürger der Stadt und schlossen hinter sich zu, und stiegen auf das Dach des Turmes.
